Research Interests
Pradeep Mujumdar’s recent research contributions include:
i) innovative use of nonparametric probability distributions and evidence theory, towards offsetting uncertainties in hydrological projections under climate change scenarios,
(ii) methodological improvements to segregate the effects of land use change and climate change on hydrological regimes,
iii) explorations of non-stationarity in the occurrences of floods and droughts to answer the question as to whether and when in the future the return levels of hydrological extremes at river basin scales are likely to change, and
(iv) uncertainty quantification in urban precipitation extremes.
These contributions have a significant bearing on hydrologic designs at multiple scales.
